Terra Nova Note Card

Hi! Two blog posts in one week! You can tell that my busy summer month has come to an end. ;) July comes and goes in a hurry, if you blink you may miss it!

August is always pretty low key as we just want some time to relax before school starts! I already have the boys "Back to School" shopping done...just need a stop at Target for school supplies and we are on our way back to routine and a peaceful house all day! Speaking of school...I shared a couple more teasers of our 12 new paper pads that are coming out next week at Michaels!

Here is the one I shared yesterday...

And the one that I shared today...

Oh it's so much fun sharing these photos when I know full and well that our fans are going to LOVE them when they hit the shelves next week! Craft Smith has definitely done it again, I can't wait to start playing with them myself!

Today's project uses the Craft Smith Terra Nova paper pad that is in the paper aisle of Michaels right now. I love the rich colors and textures of this paper line, it really makes a statement.

What I love most about this pad is the colors in it can be mixed and matched in so many ways. You can look at them and say, "These don't go together", but when you add a neutral and start playing they really do!

I used the neutral damask as the card base and punched 4 circles out of the turquoise paper using my circle punch. I brushed some gold ink around the edges and glued them down in a line. Then I cut a strip of the coral paper and glued that on top. I had some chevron patterned washi tape that I layered on top and then added my embellishments! Buttons, twine, ribbon and a quote sticker finish it off.

My color combination was inspired from this Pinterest combo...I love the cream, coral and turquoise together. If you are ever wanting a fun challenge, find a fun color combination photo and create a card with it! It always seems to get my creativity flowing.

Make sure you are watching our Craft Smith Facebook page so you don't miss out on any of our new product teasers! There is definitely more to come so stay tuned!
