Hey there! I have more Craft Smith Halloween fun for you today! I am loving all of these Halloween projects and blog posts. I hope you are too!
It's official. Fall is here!!! Why? Because we picked up our "pumkins" yesterday! (Notice the sign!) My niece and nephews have been working hard all summer growing pumpkins at the family farm. They decided to have a stand in front of their house selling them as a little business. Of course, we had to go buy some pumpkins from the cutest kids ever! My boys loved picking them out from the fields. You can tell we live in a small town when you saw the jar stating "please leave money here" on the pumpkin trailer! Love it!
Now that I had some pumpkins, I was ready to decorate my front porch for Halloween. I picked up these Recollections Spider Wall Decor at Michaels on my last visit. They are so fun and versatile and are available as part of Michaels Recollections Halloween paper crafting line. I could think of a million things that I could do with these babies! Some of them are already glittered and some are simply on black cardstock. I love mixing them together so there is a little variety in the textures.
Yes, this is what 18 carefully punched out paper spiders looks like! Can you imagine how much time it would take to hand cut these? Or how many cutting blades you would use to cut them with a cutting machine?? I love that the hard part is done for me and I can simply punch out the spiders and get to the fun stuff!
How cool did my Halloween porch turn out!? It wouldn't be near as cute without these cute little paper spiders. The spiders come with adhesive circles that I used to stick the spiders on all the pumpkins and walls. I bent the spider legs a little to give them some dimension. I love how they turned out.
The spiders are so intricate in how they are cut and they punch out perfectly. It makes me tired thinking of cutting all these cute spiders out by hand!
The boys are going to love seeing the porch decorated for Halloween when they get home from school. Guaranteed, they will want some of that stringy, fake cobweb stuff to try and make it look even spookier. :) I don't know what it is about little boys and Halloween but I. Love. It.
Have a wonderful fall weekend and I'll see you here on Tuesday!
