Pretty Little Planner

Yup. I did it. I bought myself a pretty, little planner. Is anyone really surprised, though??!

It has blown me away what a HUGE trend that these Personal Planners are right now! (Go on Instagram and look at hashtags: #planner #plannergirl #plannerlove) This trend came out of left field and hit us all like a speed of lightening. I asked myself, "Do I really NEED a planner?" and "Do I really NEED another thing to keep up with?" After thinking about it and a little push from a co-worker/friend, I jumped on board. Why did I think this would work for me???

1. I love to be organized.
2. I love making lists.
3. I have an insane life and must write everything down or kids don't get places and things don't get done. (Hello, MommyBrain!)
4. I am a very visual person.
5. I love pretty paper and all things crafty!

I bought myself the most beautiful gold planner made by Webster Pages. My friend, Laura Funk, works over there and I have been drooling over her Instagram photos ever since CHA! I bought mine on the online store, A Cherry on Top. If Craft Smith was making planners, believe me I would buy one of ours!!! But I had to improvise a little. ;) I did pick the gold one because I felt like it would compliment all of my favorite Craft Smith papers very nicely.

It really is beautifully made and designed. But I took every chance I could to slip in my favorite Craft Smith papers to make me extra happy. I am still so obsessed with Blush Glam, Tea Party & Sweet Soiree. I picked the colors from these pads to go in my planner. Pinks, golds, turquoises, golds. ;) How awesome does the title page look with that Tea Party print behind it??

I covered all of my divider pages with Craft Smith paper. I didn't add any embellishments here because I don't want to bulk up these pages.

And when paper is this pretty, who needs to embellish!

At the start of every month, I am going to decorate the monthly divider. I don't want to do it all at once because 1) I don't have time. 2) It will be more fun to look forward to every month.

April, I love you.

This is where I would love any tips or suggestions!!! My plan is to use the "month at a view" for the basic appointments and things to do....

And then the weekly pages will have more of my lists, specific tasks plus appointments. And I can decorate these pages a little more. Is that a good plan? I ordered some cute stickers online that I am waiting for. I think the calendar pages definitely need a little more color and pattern. I will have to pick up some more washi tape in my color palate. I will keep showing photos on our Instagram @craftsmithco

What do you think of this new trend! Love it, hate it, want a planner, don't want a planner? I would love to hear. Leave me a comment! From my experience in a couple days, I think this Mama is going to LOVE her planner!
