One in a Billion

Today will be my last Valentine's Day post, what fun this has been! This sweet little holiday is always a favorite of mine just because it's innocent, fun and all about telling people we love how we feel. I also love how girly this holiday is. Maybe because I live in a house full of boys and don't have too many opportunities to get away decorating everything in pink and glitter. Ha!

I think my favorite part of Valentine's Day is definitely the treats! Chocolate in particular. ;) Isn't this quote so true?? When my friends show up with chocolate, I always love them a little bit more!

I spotted this super cute chocolate bar at Walmart for $1. It is made by Russell Stover and it looks like a "Billion Dollar Bill." So cute! I picked one up knowing that I could jazz it up easily to make a special valentine.

And that I did! I used the gold chevron print from the Craft Smith "Holliday Elegance" paper pad. This was one that I picked up at Michaels around Christmas time but I am still using all of the fun gold and silver prints! I made a "belly band" for the chocolate bar by simple wrapping the paper around the bar. Adding a red doily and twine from Michaels makes it a little more Valentine's Day theme. I cut the "So Happy Together" tag from the Craft Smith "Painted Posies" paper pad and added it to the front. The cute little glittered foam heart was from the dollar store as well.

One little organization tip: In my craft room, I have a plastic storage box for each of the holidays. Some are bigger than others, but each box holds little craft items that I have picked up for each holiday. So my Valentine's craft box has my dollar store finds, craft packs from Michaels that a specifically for Valentine's Day...anything that I may craft with specific for this holiday. Then after my Valentine's crafting is done, I can put away the box and move on to my Spring/Easter box. It's a good way for me to keep things all in one spot so I can use elements year after year. My Christmas & Halloween boxes are by far the biggest!!!

I hope all of your have a wonderful weekend and Valentine's Day! Craft Smith LOVES all of our new fans and support you have given us! I will be back next week with more inspiration so I'll see you then!
