Mint Pink Gift Bag

Hey there! I hope you had a wonderful fall weekend! Things around here are starting to get busy. The boys continue on with their sports games and practices, it's hunting season for my husband and I am still expected to keep everyone and the house up and running! Funny how night after night, they still expect dinner and clean clothes folded in their closets. ;) I try my hardest to take care of my boys!

Today's project uses the beautiful Craft Smith Mint Pink paper pad. I can't believe this is the first project that I have made with this beauty! It's been a popular one among our fans and I can definitely see why. I love the pink, mint green and gold combination and the prints are so clean, they make any project look great. This is one of our "Hot Buys" at Michaels right now and I know lots of you have already picked it up.

I used the Mint Pink paper to dress up a simple, kraft gift bag. (Sorry my photo lighting isn't the best, it was a gloomy day here! And rain in the forecast all week!) The photos still show off this beautiful paper. I cut strips of paper at different lengths and glued them down at the top of the bag. I made sure not to glue down the bottoms of the strips so they would have a little dimension.

I made the paper rosette by cutting 2 pieces 2x12 inches and scoring them every 1/2 inch. I folded them paper back and forth and hot glued the ends together to make one big circle. When you flatten down the circle and glue it, it creates the rosette. I brushed the sides of the bag and rosette with a gold ink pad and added a button, twine and tag. This will make an ordinary gift extra special by just putting a little craft love into the packaging.

I can't wait for Christmas to get here so I can share even more holiday packaging ideas! Our Craft Smith Christmas paper pads will be hitting Michaels shelves anytime! Watch our Instagram page for some sneak peaks! @craftsmithco
