Halloween Favor Bags

There are just a couple more weeks until Halloween! I hope you have been enjoying our fun and spooky crafting ideas that we have been sharing. It's crazy to think that as soon as Halloween comes and goes, Christmas will be right around the corner. I just can't wait!!! But I will have to for now. ;) So I have another fun Halloween idea for you!

The Halloween Recollection line at Michaels has been so awesome this year. I have loved not only the paper crafting items, but also the decoration kits and fun bags and boxes to give away treats. Because we all know that where this is Halloween, there are treats. I picked up this burlap favor bag kit at Michaels knowing that they would be so cute and easy to put together for treats for friends and neighbors.

The kit has everything you need to make two favor bags including the burlap bag, twine to tie up the bag, tag and Halloween shape. So really, all you have to do is fill the bag with your special treat, tie it up and add the tag.

That is exactly what I did on this first bag with the pumpkin tag. I used everything from the kit and that's it. Super cute, right??! But I wanted to also show you how you can use the kit as a base, add a few embellishments and make the favor bag EXTRA cute!

The skeleton favor bag had a few extra things added to it and I love how it turned out.

I added some glitter to the skeleton piece and wow, what a difference did that make! Some black twine was used to tie up the bag and I love the contrast that it is against the orange burlap bag. For the tag, I added some epoxy stickers, number stickers and the "Happy Haunting" phrase was cut from the Recollection paper pack. Even though they are both so cute, you know which bag I would love to receive. ;)

I hope you have a wonderful fall weekend! I am looking forward to a boring few days at home. ;) Life has been busy lately and I feel the need to stay home and have some "me time". I hope you all enjoy your time as well and I'll see you back here next week! <3
