5 Minute Valentine

Hey there!

January is always a little bit of a let down for me. I feel a little "Holiday Hangover". It is hard for me to get back into the routine of LIFE! I always try to plan our family vacation for January to make the transition a little easier!! I'm not really sure that helps but that's beside the point. ;) The one thing I love about this time of year is all the Valentine's Day excitement. I love putting down my Christmas decorations and getting out the pink & red pretties. I know some people don't like this holiday but I love any reason to tell people that I love them.

I have a super quick, 5 minute Valentine idea for you. These are so cute, easy and inexpensive that I plan on making a lot more!

I picked up this candy holder for $1 at Walmart in the Valentine candy section. It is filled with Skittles candies and was just super simple with the heart topper. I used the red and pink printed paper from the Craft Smith Christmasville paper pad! Don't be afraid to raid your holiday pads for red papers! I do this every year and I rarely need to buy specific Valentines paper. Also the golds and blacks would be so cute with this too.

I cut a scrap of paper to 5.5x3.5. I used my Scor-Tap to stick it down really well, any strong adhesive would work. I tied a bow with Valentines ribbon, I had this ribbon already but I recently saw super cute Valentines ribbon at Michaels and also at the Dollar Tree. Added a sticker for a monogram, this one is for my son "Troy". I stuck on a few heart rhinestones and gold sequins. That. Is. It. I am guessing this cost less than $1.50 for me to make and seriously 5 minutes! Who doesn't love that!?

Oh. And these Reece's Peanut Butter hearts are made by the devil himself. I have another project in mind for these...that is if I don't eat them all first!

The Craft Smith team is off the CHA Mega Show this weekend in Anaheim! Watch our Facebook page for photos and updates. I am so excited to see what's new in the craft world and network with friends at fellow companies. Stay tuned!
