Welcome to Christmasville

Christmas in in full swing at our house! Our decorations are up, we had the neighborhood cookie swap and presents are under the tree! Plus Zippidy Zoe, our Elf on the Shelf, has already made an appearance!

There is something so magical about this time of year. This is one of the reasons that I love documenting our holiday memories in a special scrapbook.

This is my Christmas album for our family...It really is such a special heirloom. I remember making this layout of our very first Christmas as newlyweds. I was only 20 and my husband was 21, we had only been married less than 2 months. {Seriously, who gets married that young!?? No wonder my parents threw a fit!}

Then we move on to the boys first Christmas', always so sweet. I love having a special album that has all of our Christmas memories in one spot. I am excited to add some new pages to it this year using my new Craft Smith paper.

I wanted to share a quick page today that uses the Christmasville Paper Pad. This is such a fun one! Great prints and traditional colors...with a few fun blues and pinks mixed in. It still has plenty of tradition real red and true green. When I saw this pad, it instantly reminded me of of my kids favorite holiday movies, "The Grinch". I don't know why, maybe all the cute stacked presents!

I love this fun page of my cute Colt. The different prints from this line all mix together so well!!! I love the "O" in "Joy" which layers a glittered chipboard snowflake I had with a star punched from the paper. I love cutting out elements and words from the paper to make titles... inexpensive and everything coordinates. This really is a simple page if you look close. A photo, layered paper, a few cut out elements, washi tape and a few rhinestones. When I make simple pages, I seem to have the creative inspiration to keep on crafting without getting overwhelmed. And the Craft Smith paper makes it so easy to make a great looking page.

What is "Christmasville" looking like where you are? Are you starting your preparations or are you not even thinking about it yet? Leave me a comment, I love seeing what you have to say!
