Gold and Silver and Foil, Oh My!

It has never been a secret that I love shiny things. Just ask my husband. ;) Metallic, glitter, foil...anything with a shine just grabs my eye. I have seen lots of gold and silver in the craft and decorating world over the last year and I really love it!

Gold and silver have become a huge trend in the holiday decorating world as well. Seriously, I swoon over these photos!

Yes, please. I would love to put this shelf and tree in my perfect little dream world. :)

And this table setting couldn't be cuter! That polka dot placemat reminds me of the Natural Luxury Pad! If you missed the layout that I shared on Facebook last week, look for it HERE

And how pretty would these ornaments be hanging in front of a window so they could really show off their shine.

When I saw the Holiday Elegance Paper Pad that Craft Smith released this month at Michaels, I knew it would be a big hit! The gold and silver foil sheets just couldn't be prettier...and right on trend! This is a great line of paper for the holidays but I promise, if you buy it you will be using it a lot more than just for holiday crafting.

I made these little cards with some of the gold foil papers from the Holiday Elegance Pad. His and Hers...reindeer style! I cut the reindeer head with my Silhouette, it cut the foil paper beautifully. And the background green sheets are from the Craft Smith Timeless Holiday Paper Pad. Add a few rhinestones and sentiments and these were done. I think they turned out SO cute!

I spotted a great project idea from Chairty Hotrum on our Craft Smith Facebook page. She took the hexagon print from the Holiday Elegance Paper Pad, cut and layered some diamonds to make a 3D poinsettia. Brillant! Thanks for the idea, Charity! I am always watching for fun tips from YOU that I can share here on the blog.

What do you think of the new trend of gold and silver being mixed into your holiday decor? I would love to hear what you think, leave me a comment here on the blog!
